However, imagine "standing the test of time" and being in business for more than 60 Years!  That's the story at the Canyon Inn Sports Bar where the owners have actually owned the business for a little more than half of those 60+ years!  These owners are the longest standing owners the business has had and imagine that they have owned the Canyon Inn since when Y2K was going on, when the Angeles won the World Series in 2002, when the i phone was invented in 2007, and today in the era of N.I.L. and the excitement of College Basketball! 

While many businesses don't even make it to 10 years. The Canyon Inn has had 6 ten year celebrations. Respected in the Yorba Linda Community for decades as a great spot to hang out with friends and enjoy Sports, The Canyon Inn Sports Bar is turning up the Fun for Monday Madness right now in Yorba Linda. In 1965 the Cars looked different, the people looked different, and even the houses looked different. It was in 1965 that the Canyon Inn began. Yorba Linda did not incorporate until 1967, so the Canyon Inn sat in an unincorporated area. The population at the time in what would become Yorba Linda was 5511 people, today Yorba Linda (today more than 67,000 people call Yorba Linda Home!). More than 12 times the population of the City in the year that the Canyon Inn began operation!  That first year in 1965 that the Canyon Inn began operation, the Community was looking forward to the Baseball season because only 8.5 miles from the Canyon Inn a Baseball Stadium was being built and the California Angels were going to play there! 

Since the Canyon Inn began operation in 1965, there have been 4 Major recessions that took a lot of Orange County businesses with them. One of the recessions was so powerful it even took Orange County into bankruptcy in 1994 in what was the largest municipal bankruptcies in United States history at the time, right here in Orange County. Besides the Big recessions, The Canyon Inn has scene it all from the energy crisis and long gas lines in the 1970's to slow downs in business from 911 to more slow downs and shut downs from Covid 19 just a few years ago. In 2002 the Team that plays only 8.5 Miles from the Canyon Inn Sports Bar won the World Series on October 27th. For those that could not be at what was called Edison International Field that day, many of them choose the Canyon Inn to watch the game and experience the excitement of the first Angels World Series celebrating it that day at the Canyon Inn Sports Bar. So many other people will tell you that they were at the Canyon Inn Sports Bar when they watched a specific Sporting event over the years!
